Talde is a casual Asian-American Restaurant and Bar located in the heart of downtown Jersey City. The menu at TALDE, brought to you by Executive Chef, Ruby Felix, showcases the vibrant flavors and cuisines of Asia while remaining fresh and relevant. Our historic and beautiful space is inviting and perfect for all occasions whether you are looking for a night out, intimate private dining experience, or to host a corporate or celebratory event.
Our four-story building, on the corner of Bay Street and Erie Street, was first constructed in 1900 for use by the NY/NJ Telephone Company as their switching station. After acting as the tristate's first ever switching station for many years, the Jersey City Police Department took over the building and operated out of the property. In 2011, the Jersey City Redevelopment Agency bestowed the 30,000-square foot building to an award-winning local developer, who then completely redesigned and gutted the entire property. Construction on the project was done by “Kitchen Cousins” stars Anthony Carrino and John Colaneri, who transformed the building into 16 rental apartments and two ground floor restaurant spaces. Talde and Miss Wong's opened in the premier corner storefront in 2014 and has been in operation ever since.
8 Erie Street is one of the most unique properties in Jersey City, from our buildings extensive history to its premier location and excellent restoration, we have been able to create a space and environment that celebrate the Jersey City Community and allows us to bring people together.
