With more than 15 years of experience behind the bar, beverage director and assistant general manager, Michelle DeSantis brings a unique and innovative perspective to the beverage program at Talde. After growing up in New Jersey, Michelle moved to Massachusetts to attend school for criminal justice and law but ended up falling in love with the art of cocktail creation while pursuing her degree. In 2007 DeSantis moved back to New Jersey and worked with David Drake to help open and manage Daryl Wine Bar. Later, Michelle moved to NYC to work with Gramercy Tavern’s Nick Mautone who helped her hone in on passion for mixology, and allowed her to explore the craft further and bring her creativity to life. Since starting at Talde, Michelle’s passion for blending the next astonishingly creative, one-of-a-kind combination has only grown and she is constantly inspired by those around her to put forth a unique and diverse beverage menu that caters to anyone and everyone. She hopes to continue to build out her ever-changing, always inspirational cocktail menu and provide unexpected surprises for even the most seasoned palates.
